Although a hire car is advisable, you can be met you at the airport for a small charge.

Being only 3 km outside the town centre there are numerous eating outlets; however a packed lunch is advisable at lunchtime; we can provide this for you at a small supplement as you will have busy day training.

A non refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost of tuition is required by bank transfer to our English bank account depending on the Country you are in. You can also use PAYPAL particularly if you would like to pay by credit card, please note that there is a transaction charge for this.

The balance of the course needs to be paid two weeks prior to the commencement of the course.

We would advise all would be groomers, when possible and taking distance into account, to visit our training centre and spend a few hours watching how we work. This would give you an insight into what grooming is really like. Our friendly team would make you welcome and be available to answer your questions. You would also have the opportunity to see for yourself our quality of work. This would assist you in making an informed decision on whether grooming for a career is right for you before committing to the training costs. *Please note that this is not a “hands-on” day.

Cost of taster day will be deducted from subsequent course fees if booked on the day.

Two Day Pet Owner Course –  ( 10AM TO 3.30PM)

We can usually arrange dates on demand providing you can attend for 2 days in the same week – excluding Wednesday and Sunday – so you could choose either 2 consecutive days or 2 split days in the same week.

This is a tailor-made course to teach you how to meet ALL of the grooming needs of your individual breed of dog – including cross breeds. We find that 2 days are usually required.

We are not a grooming salon that clips everything off – Unless it is absolutely essential!  One of the problems which many owners experience when taking their dog to a groomer is that everything does get clipped off – which is often very unattractive and spoils the look of the dog entirely!

Instead we will teach you how you can achieve the style which suits the breed and its lifestyle. We will teach you how to bath, dry and fully prepare the coat before styling. We include anal glands if needed, nails/dew claws, ears and hygiene (sanitary) clip. All of this comes under the heading of “Preparation Work”. Then we move on to clipping – if appropriate – and then scissoring to shape and style according to breed and owner requirements.

We would provide the equipment for you to use during your course, but you would need to have the necessary equipment for your own use after that. We would advise you on that. You would almost certainly need a few small hand tools – which are not expensive at all – but you may also need professional clippers at approximately (£139), 2 blades (approx £26 each), Scissors and thinning shears.

Added on to the cost of training, your initial outlay may add up to a few hundred pounds, but you would eventually re-coup this by saving on regular grooming costs. In addition, you would also get the pleasure of grooming your own dog to your own liking – at home in the future.

Please ensure you wear flat sensible footwear not sandals or flip flops. Bring a note pad, pen and a camera!!

Cost per day is 220€ per person – you will have one to one teaching, hence the cost. This includes your own dog having the full works with us, performed by you under supervision during your course.
